Global Value Investment Corp (GVIC) was founded in 2007 by Jeffrey R. Geygan. Mr. Geygan worked 20 years combined for two large Wall Street brokerage firms prior to establishing the firm. He recognized that his vision of creating a world-class value-oriented investment research and advisory firm would best be realized independently.
The firm was originally established as Milwaukee Private Wealth Management, Inc. to serve the investment concerns of our individual and family clientele. Over the years it evolved to accommodate for the growing needs for institutional advisory services and independent research. Thus, in 2015, Milwaukee Private Wealth Management, Inc. was renamed and organized to better align with its evolving business structure.
GVIC offers investment research and advisory services utilizing value-oriented analysis and principles. Our organizational structure includes four operating divisions:
- Milwaukee Institutional Asset Management (MIAM) provides third-party management services for other investment professionals.
- Milwaukee Private Wealth Management (MPWM) continues to serve individuals, families, and charitable organizations.
- Global Value Partners (GVP) is a highly concentrated investment strategy in which a position is established to influence company management. This strategy is appropriate for accredited investors.
- Global Value Research Company (GVRC) provides institutional and issuer-sponsored investment research.
Although the name and divisions have changed to reflect the expanded operations of the firm, our investment philosophy and process remain intact.
Our MIAM Institutional clients work with us to offer separately managed account services (SMA) to their own clients. The firm acts as sub-advisor or third-party manager to provide investment research & portfolio management discretion over client portfolios. (FEATURE/BENEFIT)
Our dedicated MPWM associates provide strategic financial management, often working closely with client’s legal and tax counsel to develop optimal long-term solutions.
The experiences of Wall St. have shaped the value-oriented principles that embody the firm’s investment process. Thoughtful and thorough financial statement analysis drives our long-term success. When appropriate, the firm will communicate directly with a company’s senior management and board of directors in order to exert influence on the companies in which it invests. We take seriously the notion of defending shareholder rights and providing a representative voice for all shareholders.
Our clients come from all walks of life and all parts of the world. Most new clients come to us by word of mouth or personal introduction. Many of our clients have three generations investing with us, a true testament to our intergenerational wealth management culture.
That culture includes treating each client as we would like to be treated, and investing in the same companies, never losing sight of the fact that we have been entrusted to manage money that often has been earned over a lifetime of hard work and dedication.
